Speaking of El Caminos and those little details that we appreciate... I’ve always thought the rear window on the ‘78 and later models was such a cool design treatment with its concave curve that blended into the side buttresses. Such an expensive choice for an otherwise utilitarian machine.

I like this style more than the later ones. It shares quite a bit with the Malibu Classic. A friend of mine once left his 4 door Malibu Classic with me when he was deployed for Desert Storm. It was pretty rough even back then. (Not his car, but a close match of one in 2-door form).

I think those front ends were the best looking of that era, always thought the Malibu Classic was a great looking car.
